Palo Alto Apple Store

The Apple Store in Palo Alto, California operates on 100% renewable energy. Apple takes an innovative approach to the environment, and they are creating new solar energy projects to reduce its carbon footprint. The numbers are impressive. Apple produces or procures clean, renewable energy to power 93 percent of its offices, retail stores, and data centers around the world. The result has been to lower emissions from its facilities to 1 percent of its total carbon footprint. The company has 4 gigawatts of clean energy projects underway. The result will be to avoid more than 30 million metric tons of carbon pollution by 2020. That’s the equivalent of taking more than 6 million cars off the road for one year. Too soon to say when or if Apple will be putting Apple Electric Cars on the road.
