Somehow it is hard to imagine IBM without John Patrick! I don't know when we first met - probably during my days with Fernand in IBM Desktop Software. You were an activist back then too! I kept wondering what was this finance guy doing giving us a critique on Current, Hollywood and Platinum - but I soon found myself seeking your feedback!

I really do admire what you were able to do to wake up IBM to the promise of the Internet. I know how lonely that road can be at times. Your book sums it the best - it is about Attitude. You had it, used it and because of it, you helped us drive it into the market place. For that you should be very proud.

I can't wait to see what you do next! Hopefully our paths will cross from time to time. Have a great time enjoying more of what you do so well, waking up the world to what comes next.
