Wow! What a stellar IBM career you have had! You have always been a great team player, always in the forefront of new technology, always positive about IBM and it's future, and always having and bringing fun to those around you. You are a great role model for new IBM'ers to follow if they want to have an exciting and satisfying career, full of great accomplishments.

I really enjoyed our time together, especially when I was leading the IBM Aptiva effort. I appreciated all of your great ideas to improve the product and the brand, and to make IBM much more of a leader in the home pc business. I also appreciated your help to make me more "net-savvy."

I wish you the best in all that you now decide to undertake. I also have plans to retire from IBM this year, after 33 years of contributions and fun, so I think I share some of the strong feelings you have at this time in your career.
