Congratulations on not just concluding a stellar career at IBM, but on being so instrumental in shaping the thinking of such a large organization. Altough we had met before, I will never forget a meeting in your office in Armonk where you had another student who needed to learn the lessons of the future. You talked about the T1 line to your house, the macros you had written to integrate sending mail to different mail systems, and the ways we'd all be interacting with systems in the future.

You had a positive impact on me and I know that your thinking helped me to grow and advance in my career. Thanks for being such a great teacher. All the best for an exciting future for us all.
