The Winter 2016 issue of Healthy Aging Magazine includes a story I wrote for them. It is called Go Mobile For Better Health. The article is based on a peer-reviewed journal article called How mHealth Will Spur Consumer-led Healthcare. I discussed how new smartphone devices are enabling us to gather data about our health. I espouse people who track her or his health are going to be healthier. The device in the picture above is made by AliveCor. The device attaches to the back of the iPhone. You place your fingers on the back of the iPhone and sensors pick up electrical signals from your finger tips indicating your heart beats. The FDA approved device can detect atrial fibrillation and other irregularities. Read much more about this and other devices in Health Attitude. A list of all articles, books, and papers I have written is here.
