This is a brief update on our trip to Tokyo and Kyoto. It is Friday afternoon (Alaska time zone -1) and we are en route to Kushiro from Kodiak Island. The trip to Kodiak from Sitka included one of the most rough sea I have experienced. Waves were 12 feet high and the wind was 40 knots. We will arrive in Kushiro on September 27. Seven days at sea.
